Other members then "play back" the emotional essence of the story they just heard using movement, music, metaphor, dialogue... Together we often laugh, cry, get new insights about our lives, and feel heard and connected. As "actors" we also learn how to be more free and expressive and how to listen deeply and accurately. This is for anyone who ever wanted to play Hamlet--without the pretensions or the acting ability. First, we'll decide on a play, and then after discussing themes and underlying ideas, we'll cast it and read it out loud--as it the play were a script--which it is--and not a text. I'd like to discover Shakespeare, from the inside out. You don't have to Gielgud or even Mel Gibson. It will be fun to hear Shakespeare's words in our mouths.
